Caleb was having severe back, tummy, and leg pain. He was constipated for 3 years before being diagnoses. He was very clumsy and kept falling. He was 6 years old and still pooping in his pants. The Dr. kept telling me it was behavioral and I had to break away from coddling him so much, so he can grow and mature. After leaving that Dr. on the 1st visit of the new one they did a CT and found 7 tumors, bone marrow involvement. and lymph nodes up and down his spine were enlarged.
Caleb was diagnosed on 10-11-08 with Neuroblastoma stage IV. MYCN amplified. He underwent surgery to remove the main tumor in his right adrenal gland that was the size of a mans fist, then he did 6 rounds of chemo, 2 bone marrow transplants, radiation, and 6 months of Antibody therapy, which he completed on February 12, 2010.
Caleb loves SpongeBob Squarepants, tractors, pigs, fishing, and just plain dirt. He also has a Nintendo DS and loves to play games on that. He is a very caring and loving person. He loves the Lord, and is learning quite a bit about how He loved us and how he needs to behave. Sometimes I feel he knows more than I do. |
